Learn about physiology, body systems, massage techniques & routines, lymphatic drainage, identifying pressure points, applying pressure, OH&S, client consultation, consent forms, policies, contraindications, risks, hygiene & infection control.
There are no pre-requisites for this course.
You'll receive an Adelaide Beauty Academy certificate of completion upon successfully passing your final assessment.
Please wear black clothes, enclosed shoes and your hair up (if possible). You can bring lunch but most of our students go across the road to get lunch at Subway, Café Primo or Sushi Train.
On each day of the course, you will have ample opportunities to practice the theory and facial components of the course with the guidance and assistance from your trainer. A model can only be used once over the period of the course. Below are the model times:
Day 1: 2:15pm & 3:30pm (Basic Massages)
Day 2: 10:15am (Basic Massage) 1:45pm (Manual Lynphatic Drainage) 3pm (Manual Lynphatic Drainage) 4:15pm (Manual Lynphatic Drainage)
If you are unable to provide your own models we may be able to assist you, please provide at least 1 weeks notice if you require assistance organsing models.
All enrolments must be made online (click on the enrol button). Enrolments require a deposit to secure your seat. The remainder of the payment can be processed through card, cash or bank transfer. We also have Afterpay and Zippay.
If you reschedule within 24hrs we can move you into the next available class at no cost, if this class date does not suit you and you require an alternative date, you will be charged an administration fee of $100.
After this course you'll be ready to provide massages professionally either from home or in a salon.
Lots of our students then go on to study Advanced Massage.

Do I need to supply anything on the day?
All products used on the day are supplied by us, we do ask students to bring in 4 hand towels & 16 large towels however if you you are unable to supply these we can.

All prducts required for the day are supplied by us. We do ask students to bring in their own towels if possible: 8 x Large Towels and 4 x Hand Towels. If you do not have access to towels, we can provide on the day.
