Course Content:

Lash Mapping: Learn the art of lash mapping to create customized lash styles, using lash maps to determine the best lash lengths, curls, and placements for each client's eye shape and desired look.
Classic and Premade Volume Application: Master both classic lash application and the use of premade volume fans, providing clients with a variety of options from natural to more dramatic, voluminous looks.
Lash Refills: Gain expertise in performing lash refills to maintain the fullness and appearance of lash extensions over time, including how to blend new lashes seamlessly with existing ones.
Lash Removal (Manual and Product-Based): Learn safe and effective techniques for lash removal, both manually and using specialized products, to ensure client comfort and protect the natural lashes.
Pre-Application Preparation: Understand the importance of pre-application preparation, including how to properly cleanse and prime the natural lashes to ensure the best possible adhesion and longevity of extensions.
Client Aftercare: Educate clients on proper aftercare practices to prolong the life of their lash extensions and maintain lash health, including how to cleanse, brush, and protect their lashes.
Glue Theory: Understand the science behind lash adhesives, including how to select the right glue for different clients and conditions to ensure strong, long-lasting bonds while minimizing the risk of irritation.
Infection and Hygiene: Master infection control and hygiene practices specific to lash extensions to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a clean, safe environment for clients.
Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S): Implement OH&S guidelines to maintain a safe and professional working environment, protecting both the lash technician and the client throughout the lash extension process.
Business of Lash Extensions: Explore key aspects of running a successful lash extension business, including marketing strategies, client retention, pricing models, and building a strong brand presence in the beauty industry.
Advanced Lash Techniques: Learn advanced techniques for addressing challenging lash scenarios, such as sparse lashes or different eye shapes, to create the perfect lash set for each client.

PREREQUISITES

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Certificate

You'll receive an Adelaide Beauty Academy certificate of completion upon successfully passing your final assessment.

On the day

Please bring your glasses if you wear them to read, wear black clothes, enclosed shoes and your hair up (if possible). You can bring lunch but most of our students go across the road to get lunch at Subway, Café Primo or Sushi Train.

3:00pm (removal & refill - same model as day 1)

If you are unable to provide your own models we can assist you, please provide at least one week's notice. We charge an additional fee of $30 per model if we source them for you, but there's no charge if you provide your own models.

Payment

Full payment of $1450 to be paid a week prior to the course commencement date.

Rescheduling

If you reschedule within 24hrs we can move you into the next available class at no cost, if this class date does not suit you and you require an alternative date, you will be charged an administration fee of $100.

Where to next?

After this course you'll be ready to work as a Lash Tech, either from home or in a salon.

Lots of our students then go on to study Makeup, Spray Tanning and Lash Lifting/ Brow Laminating.

Additional Information

What types of extensions are covered in the class and what is the difference between them?

This class covers the application of both classic and premade volume extensions. Classics are the most natural style of lashes and are done using one sigular classic lash to one natural lash. Premades are the term used for voume fans that have been premade - whilst a natural loook can be achieved they are more dramatic in appearance and are widely available from 3D - 10D in the current market.

Why do I have to do a course to offer lash extensions?

The correct and proper application of lash extensions is detrimental to a successful business and happily retained client base. Being a professional expert in the field is something that clients will value and knowing that you have the correct skills will allow you to create the best work. Hands on intimate classes are the best way to learn lash extensions.

What is a refill?

A refill is where outgrown lashes are removed and replaced with fresh extensions. This is done every 2-3 weeks.

Can I use a model with extensions already on?

No, we ask models to be free of any current lash extensions so you can learn full sets.
