Types of Blades: Gain knowledge about the different types of dermaplaning blades, including how to select the appropriate blade for various skin types and treatment areas to ensure a safe and effective exfoliation process.
Post-Treatment Aftercare: Learn how to provide clients with post-treatment aftercare instructions to promote healing, protect the skin, and prolong the benefits of dermaplaning.
Safe and Correct Handling of Sharps: Understand the correct handling and disposal of sharps to maintain a safe working environment, minimizing the risk of injury or infection during the dermaplaning process.

Cert III in Beauty Services, Facial Fundamentals or RPL

Certificate

You'll receive a Blush Academy certificate of completion upon successfully passing your final assessment.

On the day

Please wear black clothes, enclosed shoes and your hair up (if possible). You can bring lunch but most of our students go across the road to get lunch at Subway, Café Primo or Sushi Train.

Models

On the day of the course, you will have ample opportunities to practice the theory and facial components of the course with the guidance and assistance from your trainer. A model can only be used once over the period of the course. Below are the model times:

Model 1: 12:30pm

Model 2: 2:00pm

Model 3: 3:30pm

If you are unable to provide your own models we can assist you, please provide at least one week's notice. We charge an additional fee of $30 per model if we source them for you, but there's no charge if you provide your own models.

Payment

All enrolments must be made online (click on the enrol button). Enrolments require a deposit to secure your seat. The remainder of the payment can be processed through card, cash or bank transfer. We also have Afterpay and Zippay.

Rescheduling

If you reschedule within 24hrs we can move you into the next available class at no cost, if this class date does not suit you and you require an alternative date, you will be charged an administration fee of $100.

Where to next?

After this course you'll be ready to provide dermaplaning / epidermal levelling treatments either from home or in a salon.

Many students go on to learn BB Glow and Plasma Fibroblast.

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure for your skin. Your healthcare provider uses a special instrument to shave away the uppermost layers of your skin. Dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of acne scars or other skin imperfections by revealing newer, undamaged skin.

What is included in the kit?

The basic kit is valued at $250 and includes #3 Handle, 10 x #14 Blades, Blade Removed & Sharps Container, Skintuitive Skincare Radiance Oil 30ml and Skintuititve Skincare Repair Balm. For an additional $200 the uprgaded kit includes #3 Handle, 20 x #14 Blades, Blade Remover & Sharps Container, Skintuitive Skincare Papaya Enzyme Mask, 5 x Skintuitive Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Masks, Skintuitive Skincare Radiance Oil 30ml and Skintuititve Skincare Repair Balm.

Who is this course for?

Designed for new and experienced Beauty Therapists, Dermal Clinicians or medical professionals, this in-depth Dermaplaning training course will teach you the correct treatment protocols and techniques needed to safely and effectively perform a Dermaplaning procedure as well as how to successfully integrate this service with your existing treatment offerings.

How much can I charge?

Costs per session may vary depending your business reputation but most people are prepared to pay from $80 to $200 on one 30-minute session of dermaplaning.
