There are no pre-requisites for this course.
You'll receive an Adelaide Beauty Academy certificate upon successfully passing your final assessment.
Please wear black clothes, enclosed shoes, short tidy nails and wear your hair up (if possible). We have a fridge, kettle and microwave available in the staff room should you wish to bring lunch. There are also many shops across the street from which you can purchase lunch, including Cafe Primo, Subway, Sushi Train and Glynburn Gourmet. Please bring water otherwise we have water available in the staff room.
On each day of the course, you will have ample opportunities to practice the theory and practical components of the course with the guidance and assistance from your educator.
Due to the nature of this course and to protect the integrity of your model’s skin, each model can only be used once throughout the entire duration of the course.
If you are unable to provide your own models we can assist you, please provide at least one week's notice. We charge an additional fee of $30 per model if we source them for you, but there's no charge if you provide your own models..
All enrolments must be made online (click on the enrol button). Enrolments require a deposit to secure your seat in the class. The remainder of the payment can be processed through card, cash or bank transfer. We also have Afterpay and Zippay.
If you reschedule 5 days before your course we can move you into the next available class at no additional cost. If this class date does not suit you and you require an alternative date, you will be charged an administration fee of $100.
After this course you will have gained the knowledge and experience to either work as a Facialist from home or in a salon or spa environment.

Our nationally qualified educators will provide you with the skills to become a professional skin therapist and business owner. This is an intensive course delievered in either a one on one or small group, to ensure our students recieve the most care and guidance tailor to your individual learning style.
Students will practice the art of communication specific to skin analysis, to enable you to successfully treat, rebook and retail to your clients. Learn how to recognize skin conditions and types, to prescribe skincare regimes and apply targeted treatment plans. Our students have the luxury of learning how to use and apply pharmaceutical grade cosmeceutical skincare. Our Academy is fully equipped with sophisticated machinery to accomodate and demonstrate a variety of client requirements.

The average salary for a trained facialist in Australia is around $50,000, with the potential for bonus base incentives including, pay, skin care and treatments.
Do I need to provide anything on the day?
All products required for the day are supplied by us. We do ask students to bring in their own towels if possible: 8 x Hand Towels and 12 x Large Towels. If you do not have access to towels, we can provide on the day.
What are some common contraindications for facials?
All infectious skin conditions, Sunburn, Botox, Product Allergies, Cancer, Medications (such as Vitamin A, Retinol, Roaccutane, Retin A), and Acne.
