At Adelaide Beauty Academy, all of our training is now delivered one-on-one, giving you the flexibility and focus you need to truly master your craft. We’re incredibly flexible with scheduling, you can spread your training over days or weeks, and we can even come to your clinic for convenience. We usually structure the Advanced Facials Course as one module per day, meaning you can complete one module per week or fortnight, depending on your pace.
If you already have experience in one of the modules, we can customise your course so you only train in the areas you need, making it the perfect option for professionals already in the industry who want to expand their skill set and add new treatments to their menu.
You can also purchase professional kits and equipment directly from us so you can practice at home between sessions. We’ve found that spreading your learning out gives you time to practice, build confidence, and come back with questions, leading to far better retention than cramming everything into a single weekend.

Please note that Adelaide Beauty Academy is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Our courses are industry-recognised and designed for those already working in the beauty industry or seeking to upskill, refine techniques, and add more services for their clients.

Certificate
You’ll receive an Adelaide Beauty Academy certificate upon successfully completing your final assessment.
On The Day
Please wear black clothes, enclosed shoes, short tidy nails and wear your hair up (if possible). We have a fridge, kettle and microwave available in the staff room should you wish to bring lunch. There are also many shops across the street from which you can purchase lunch, including Cafe Primo, Subway, Sushi Train and Glynburn Gourmet. Please bring water otherwise we have water available in the staff room.
Models
On each day of the course, you will have ample opportunities to practice the theory and practical components of the course with the guidance and assistance from your trainer. A model can only be used once over the period of the course.
Payment
All enrolments must be made online. Enrolments require a deposit to secure your seat. The remainder of the payment can be processed through card, cash or bank transfer. We also have Afterpay and Zippay.
Rescheduling
If you reschedule within 24hrs we can move you into the next available class at no further cost. If this class date does not suit you and you require an alternative date, you will be charged an administration fee of $100.

What is Microdermabraison?
Microdermabrasion uses an adjustable applicator head that removes dead surface skin cells and initiates cellular turnover at the dermis and epidermis levels in a safe controlled manner. This approach respects the integrity of the skin and promotes even healing. Maintaining even cellular growth on the surface aids in the youthfulness of the skin’s appearance.
Microdermabrasion has been used to treat aging and sun-damaged skin, some types of acne and acne scarring, altered pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and stretch marks. Results may include improved skin tone, fewer breakouts, diminished appearance of scars, even skin colour, refined skin pores, renewed elasticity, and a healthy glow.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin and that the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue. This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.
What are Peels (AHA's + BHA's)?
A chemical peel is an intense exfoliation facial treatment in which a solution, usually containing AHA or BHA’s, are applied directly to the skin surface to remove the top layers of the epidermis. Depending on the strength of the peel, layers of skin either flake or peel off over a period of 3-4 days after, revealing smoother skin. These treatments are typically used to treat wrinkles, pigmentation, scars but can also rejuvenate the skin when used as a mild form.
What are Radio Frequency Facials?
Radio Frequency, or RF, is a type of localised heating. This treatment has been used in the medical field for over 30 years. This procedure has rather quick results and requires no downtime. The tissue is heated to a specific temperature that the therapist constantly monitors, resulting in more fibroblast cells that tighten the skin and cause lipolysis (which is the fat cells being heated to drop excess liquid fat out of the localised area). This interesting and revolutionary new technology produces favourable outcomes such as circumference decrease, improved skin texture, increased firmness and laxity.
What is LED?
LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that can be used on the face and body. It has no recovery/down time for the client, as it does not cause trauma to the skin, and suits most skin types, Fitzpatrick and conditions.
